Appointment of Chief Executive, Individual Life, Corporate & Strategy for Prudential Francophone Africa

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to share with you, news that point to the numerous opportunities that Prudential continues to cultivate for the talent that drives its growth across the continent.

This chapter of Prudential’s growth story in Africa is being written by people that are a true reflection of the region and I am deeply proud of this.

Vera Adomako-Nyantakyi was appointed Chief Executive, Individual Life, Corporate & Strategy for Prudential Francophone Africa, a position that was previously handled by Achumile Majija, the CEO for Prudential Uganda  currently.

In this role, she is incharge on strategy and oversees our distribution channels namely, Agency, Bancassurance and our Partnerships across Cote D’Ivoire, Cameroon and Togo. She is based in Cote D’Ivoire, and she reports directly to me.

Prior to this appointment, Vera served as the Chief Commercial Officer for Prudential Life Insurance Ghana. She joined Express Life Insurance before its acquisition by Prudential.

Her wealth of experience spans over 17 years in the insurance industry. She is a Chartered Insurer (ACII, UK) and she holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities and a Master’s in Business Consulting and Enterprise Risk Management.
